In brief this is a very practical approach to screenwriting with a strong focus on character development with some theory, examples and many hands-on exercises for creative writing, from the basic story idea, characters, conflict, plot, from first draft to the polished screenplay. The second part of the book gives practical tips to translate the script into a low budget animation, including visual research, character design (walkcycles, lip synching etc), timing, background art, effects, montage, audio and postprocessing.
